What is UoH Hostel Support?
  • UoH Hostel Support has been set up to facilitate ticket submission by boarders on issues related to the hostel.
  • Users can submit tickets pertaining to Civil, Electrical, Sanitation, Plumbing and other issues.
  • The ticket you submit alerts the department concerned, which is expected to provide a solution to the problem raised in the ticket?
  • If a solution is not provided within a reasonable period of time during working days, the issue is automatically escalated to next higher level.
  • All critical information provided in the ticket will be kept confidential.

Please note that the time taken to resolve an issue is dependent on the nature and complexity of the same.  Please allow 24 hours for the department concerned to respond to an issue.  

If your issue is resolved, please leave a message in your ticket so we can close the ticket. 

Tickets related to Civil Engineering
  • Civil Engineering issues include leaking roofs, tanks, broken bathrooms, commodes etc.
  • Clearing of clogged drainage outlets etc.
Tickets related to Electrical Engg.
  • Electrical engineering issues include repair/ replacement of tubelights, tubes, switches, plug points, wiring etc anywhere in the hostel.
Tickets related to Sanitation
  • Cleaning of hostels, proper use of cleaning materials in corridors, bathrooms, toilets, urinals etc.
  • Clearing of clogged drainage outlets etc.
  • Regular attendance of sanitation staff also falls under this category.
Tickets related to Horticulture
  • Overgrowth around the hostels, clearing of bushes, clearing overgrown branches of trees etc fall under this category.
Tickets related to Plumbing
  • Repair/ replacement of taps, pipes in washbasins etc fall under this category.
Tickets related to Scholarships/ Fellowships
  • Application procedures
  • Delays in release of scholarships/ fellowships
  • Deduction of mess dues from the scholarships/ fellowships

  • On getting health insurance card
